Planning a wedding is hard. Planning a vegan wedding can throw up even more challenges! From the dress to the cake and the caterer, vegans are often met with fewer options when it comes to finding ethical suppliers. You want your day to be perfect, but you don’t want to compromise your ethics – these are both problems I have found whilst planning my own wedding this summer. If you’re tying the knot, make sure you check out our wedding directory on page 106 to help you find vegan-friendly suppliers for your big day. Weddings can generate a lot of waste, so if you’re looking for inspiration on how to create a sustainable and eco-friendly wedding, check out how two blushing brides planned their dream days on page 102. I’m looking forward to showing my guests that a vegan wedding doesn’t mean having to compromise on anything!

You may have seen the news this month that one of Britain’s largest supermarkets, Tesco, is trialling a plastic-free fruit and vegetable aisle in selected stores – an encouraging sign that large retailers may be starting to take the issue of plastic waste seriously. The best way to reduce your own plastic waste is to cut down on the amount you purchase, so we’re sharing our top tips to help you avoid it wherever possible (p108).
