A vegan’s guide to… Monaco

The tiny Principality located on France’s southern coast is just a stone’s throw from Nice. Synonymous with glamour and wealth, Monaco is home to the world’s most famous motor race and yachts worth more than some countries. But the big question is whether it’s welcoming for a vegan? Sara Colohan finds out…

When I told friends I was off to Monaco for a quick break they all thought I’d won the lottery. I had to explain I wasn’t going to be chartering 100-foot yachts and quaffing champagne in Cipriani’s, but that I’ve always wanted to visit Monte Carlo, for the beautiful views, the rich history and maybe to catch a glimpse of the high life. Even on a tight budget, I found Monaco really easy to navigate and explore with its fair share of vegan food options. Monaco is less than one square mile in size, so I managed to cover quite a lot of ground in just 24 hours.
