Wild birds are so often forgotten many people assume they care for themselves when injured.
However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Kerstin Voigt, a vegan and the co-founder of Wild Bird Aid located on the Isle of Wight is raising awareness for these often forgotten animals one rescue at a time. She said: “Our main aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and ultimately release wild birds back into their natural home environment. Our rehabilitation programme is tailored around the individual need of the animal concerned, which does not only include species specific nutrition, but also dedicated hospital, rehabilitation and release aviary setup.
