As the lead guitarist for neorockabilly legends The Planet Rockers and mysterioso surf masters Los Straitjackets, Eddie Angel has built a career on his love for Link Wray’s music. Angel freely credits Wray as his greatest influence. In 2006, he paid tribute to the master with the album Eddie Angel Plays Link Wray, recorded with Deke Dickerson on saxophone and Pete Curry on bass, drums and piano.
