Keeping it cool in Romagna

Our tests continue with the cooling systems: this time we put the aluminum and plastic water pumps produced by Lucid Kart based near Imola on the test bench

We proceed to conduct our tests to discover the vices and virtues of the cooling system adopted on karts, more specifically with our water pump bench test. A topic that is attracting a lot of interest in our readers, along with some grumbling of distaste in those who think that “it’s always been like that, so that’s okay”. But we are trying to look ahead and to understand as much as possible how a kart actually works, especially in certain gray areas, as this topic seems to be. We also prompted some feedback: Stefano Dall’Olio and Gianni Conti of LUCID Kart contacted us to put their products on the bench. They proposed we test the models of the water pump in production at the Toscanella company in Dozza, near Imola, namely the K10 aluminum pump and the K80 plastic pump.
