Dennis Hauger Norwegian Rising Star

Dennis Hauger is one who has left his mark in karting. Norwegian by birth, the 15 year old has especially distinguished himself under the CRG lag, with Gamoto in Mini and with the factory team in OK and OKJ, taking home several important awards, such as the two titles in DKM in 2016 and 2017, and numerous placements on international tracks.

“Talent does not have a genre, ” says the new W Series, promoted by the FIA as the new frontier for women’s competitions. The new racing series has put even more emphasis on the size of motorsport related to women. The W Series will give a chance to 18 selected female drivers to take part in a proper championship with a F3 car equipped with everything needed to give life to a highly competitive battle for the championship, weekend after weekend.

The twin-cylinder engine used to be a great protagonist of the gearbox categories from the very origins of karting to 1987, when it was banned for a series of not entirely clear reasons. The best specimens, in 1987, delivered nearly 50 HP. Today, they’d be putting out 65, versus the KZ’s 45 HP.
LEGENDARY KART
If there ever was a kart that made its mark on the Dutch ‘skelter’ scene it was the Landia manufactured by Evert Bos at De Meern, in the province of Utrecht from 1959 to 1984.
