Going to the cinema is a treat. It has to be when it costs the thick end of sixty quid every time you take the family out to see the latest blockbuster – or Mamma Mia 2. But, while the picture is undoubtedly huge and the sound impressive, along with the cost you also have to suffer the thoughtlessness
and noise of your fellow movie watchers. The temptation, then, to get most of the benefits yet none of the downsides of cinema going in your own home is great.
