Named after the super-continent of ancient times, PANGEA’s tailored but relaxed swim shorts make a bold statement wherever they’re worn. Aiming to embody the notion that there’s always more to see, do and discover, no matter how many times we’re told that ‘it’s a small world’, each season’s collection of colourful and patterned swimwear is inspired by an exotic destination around the world, as experienced by the brand’s founder Nick Bradley (see p101 for our Style Q&A with him). Previous collections have featured Turkish and Moorish tile prints (such as the Talavera short above), and designs based on stained-glass windows from French cathedrals. There are two lengths available (the Hemingway 5.5” and the Roosevelt 6”), both intended to invoke the style and silhouette of 1950s and ‘60s designs, and that will see a guy through from beach to bar. From $92.
