It’s 12 years since I arrived on the London gay scene, an innocent 17-year-old twink (or so I like to think) who quickly made friends, and quickly lost a lot of that innocence.

But this isn’t another tale of lost youth and regret, far from it. I had the best time then, it was a two-year period I could happily relive and relive, at least in my mind. But then I stepped back a little from my nightly trips to G-A-Y Late when I met the guy who I would later marry. The craziness of the London scene went on without me – at least for about seven years anyway.
