A Modern Love Story

HIS NEW FILM OPENS WITH AN 18-MINUTE SCENE SET IN A GAY ORGY, BUT ACTOR GEOFFREY COUËT BELIEVES IT’S A RARE EXAMPLE OF A GAY LOVE STORY BEING ACCURATELY REPRESENTED ON SCREEN

Theo and Hugo tells the story of two young men who meet in a sex club in Paris and experience an intimate connection they think might be love at first sight. But when Hugo confides that he has HIV, Th eo admits that he had sex with him without a condom and the pair have to go to the emergency ward of a nearby hospital to access a course of PEP. Re-emerging into a darkened, deserted Paris, they wander the streets trying to work through their new relationship in a series of intimate and atmospheric scenes filmed in real time; the action of the film begins at 4:27am and ends 92 minutes later at 5:59am.
