This California-based swimwear and underwear brand certainly know their smalls. Co-founded by couple Andrew Maxin-Phan and Mark Weir, Vanwolff have been producing fantastic prints and patterns since 2012. Andrew, who designs the collection, says his husband Mark, a former model, is his muse (Mark even stars in some of the campaigns). Andrew says that “Everything is designed in California, where we are based, but similar to the melting pot of LA, I draw many inspirations from our travels and the feeling of ‘where would I want to go?’ We then tie the ideas back into the collections.” They’ve created plenty of sumptuous patterns to choose from, as well as plainer cuts in shorts and brief styles, making sure you’re fully covered whatever you wear.

There are also interviews with arist Grayson Perry and motorsport’s only gay racing driver, Danny Watts. We travel to Thailand and Rotterdam, get the background on the horrific abuse in Chechnya and ask if the pink pound can advance equality around the developing world. Packed with insightful commentary from a newly expanded panel of columnists, Winq is the journal for gay men by Attitude.
