Steve Partridge moved to Berlin on a whim and without a plan in 2012, having finally succumbed to London fatigue. He works in the city’s startup scene and writes freelance. He lives in East Berlin.

My local gay bar is called Große Freiheit, or Great Freedom in English. The greatness of the bar’s freedom is limited to men on most days of the week and only to the shirtless on Thursday evenings.
