High doses of vitamin C could help combat leukaemia, a study has found. Research published in Cell showed that using high doses of vitamin C intravenously suppressed the growth of leukaemia cancer stem-cells in mice, and that using vitamin C alongside existing treatment with PARP inhibitors showed increased effectiveness.
