Runners have less risk
Running has been linked to lower cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. In a study of over 13,000 people, those who ran, participated in racket sports, aerobics and walking had a lower risk of CVD. However, those who participated in cycling, baseball, gymnastics, swimming, golfing and weight training did not have the same lower risk. Researchers concluded that participation in specific sports may significantly reduce the risk for CVD.
