The Short Fiction Prize 2018 is open for entries.
The competition, which is run by the visual literary journal Short Fiction, is for short stories up to 5,000 words on any theme or subject. The first prize is £500 and online publication. The second prize is £100 and online publication,and the third prize is a place on a Short Fiction online masterclass.
Send stories by email as doc, docx, odt or txt attachments with ‘Competition Entry’ in the subject line. The writer’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Include the PayPal reference number for the entry fee, which is £8 per story, in the body of the submission email, and include another attachment with your name in it if your email address doesn’t make it clear. Writers may enter as many stories as they like – each one must be a separate PayPal transaction.
