The Resurgence Poetry Prize, which is being run in partnership by Resurgence and The Poetry School, is open for entries. Now known as the Resurgence Prize 2017 with The Poetry School, the competition is for single poems with ecological themes. The first prize is £5,000, the second prize £2,000 and the third, £1,000. This year’s judges are Lavinia Greenlaw and Mina Gorji. The winners (2016 winners and judges are pictured) will be invited to a special ceremony at the Poetry in Aldeburgh Festival from 3-5 November, curated by The Poetry School.
Entries do not need to be on a specific theme but should in some way investigate the relationship between human culture and the natural world. Poems must be original and unpublished, and may be up to 54 lines.
