Selene Quarterly magazine is a new title to be launched in November by US small press Radiant Crown Publishing, which also publishes Helios Quarterly and the annual anthology series, Hyperion and Theia.
Selene Quarterly will be devoted to quality fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and art that dwells in the shadows. Stories should be thrilling, reflective, and driven, embracing luminous adventure and vivid passion. Issues are themed, with the debut issue devoted to ‘Brides, Grooms & Honeymoons’. The premise is that the honeymoon period never lasts for long, and associate fiction editor Samantha McCabe wants stories that explore what happens when it ends. Stories can be in any genre and may involve actual brides, grooms and honeymoons, or take the concept of a ‘honeymoon period’ metaphorically.
Stories which experiment with the boundaries of genre and form are welcome, as are tales in any genre or sub-genre other than erotica. Translations and simultaneous submissions are welcome, but no reprints. Email submissions to subs@selenequarterly.com strictly during the reading period: 1-15 September.
