Submissions will open in July for the third Wales Drama Award, which is worth £10,000. The award, which runs biennially, is run by BBC Wales and National Theatre Wales in partnership with BBC Writersroom. The winner of the award will receive £10,000 and be given the opportunity to develop their script and work closely with BBC Wales and National Theatre Wales.
The Award is for an original, full-length, unperformed and unproduced script for TV, radio, film or theatre at least thirty minutes/pages long. To apply, writers should have been born in Wales, or live in Wales. Entry is free. Only one entry is allowed per writer. Submit the script, a brief biog of work to date and a completed application form. Submissions open on 18 July and close on 29 July.
