Carp-Talk is a weekly news magazine edited by Simon Crow that covers every aspect of carp fishing worldwide. All the content is topical and time-sensitive. Freelance pieces are occasionally accepted, and these should be specialised and targeted at a very knowledgeable readership. Include images in jpg format. Payment varies.

Carp World, edited by Rupert Whiteman, is the longest-running, singlespecies fishing magazine currently available and prides itself on the high standard of its content and the expertise of its writers. Rupert is happy to hear from ‘new blood’ who have ideas relevant to a readership of experienced carp fishermen whose main interests lie in fishing in the UK. Standard features are between 3,000 and 4,000 words with 12-15 accompanying pictures and captions. Rupert prefers features with substance written with a romantic/passionate slant. Payment varies.

Angling Times is a weekly publication out every Tuesday, and in July will be celebrating its 65th anniversary. Each issue is 72+ pages of news, entertainment, tackle information, catch stories, information about where to fish and instruction.

Content comes from experts, in-house writers and freelances. Great fishing stories are welcomed. Freelance pieces tend to be 800- 1,500 words plus images. Payment varies.
