Betwixt describes itself as ‘a magazine of fantasy, science fiction and everything in between’. It is a quarterly magazine of eclectic speculative fiction published in January, April, July, and October. Editor Joy Crelin seeks speculative fiction of all sorts: fantasy, science fiction, speculative horror, slipstream, weird fiction, steam/diesel/cyber/etc punk and more. Stories that smash genre boundaries are especially welcome, but so are fresh takes on established genres.
The magazine supports diversity in speculative fiction and welcomes stories by and about individuals of all ages, classes, disabilities, ethnicities, genders, nationalities, races, religions, and sexual orientations.
