Sequestrum is a US webzine which began as a collaborative effort by graduates of Iowa State University and the University of Iowa. Recent contributors include Pulitzer Prize nominees, Guggenheim and NEA Fellows, award-winning novelists and poets including Sean Bernard and Marion de Booy Wentzien. Editor RM Cooper’s goal is to publish the bulk of Sequestrum’s content from unsolicited manuscripts from new and emerging writers. You won’t get rich – payment is currently no more than $15 – but you may see your work in very credible company.
The title is open to submissions all year round and publishes new content approximately once a fortnight. The emphasis is on ‘literary’ fiction, though some genre writing is accepted.
