The Scottish Arts Club Short Story Competition, which has Alexander McCall Smith as its chairman of judges, is open for entries for the 2016 contest.
There is a first prize of £800, and at least two commendations will be awarded £100. There will also be a special Scottish Arts Club Members’ prize.
The competition is for short stories of 1,500 words or less, in any style and on any subject. All entries must be original and unpublished, unbroadcast and unperformed.
