Lion Hudson, the Christian publisher based in Oxford, has gone into administration. Although 35 staff were made redundant in January a spokesperson for administrators FRP Advisory said: ‘All the staff that were with Lion Hudson when it went into administration continue to work for the company.
The business continues to liaise with suppliers, authors, booksellers and other parties while the administrators market the business for sale, as part of the plans for seeking new investment.’ Meanwhile Andrew Wormleighton, former head of European sales at Lion has launched Lion Sales Services to represent Lion’s five existing imprints.
