The Anthony Howard Award offers journalists under 27, who submit a 5,000-word story on British politics and government, a chance of winning £25,000 and placements at three political titles.
The winner will complete their proposed story while undertaking successive fourteen-week ‘fellowships’ at The Times, the Observer and New Statesman over a year and earning a salary of £25,000.
This award was founded by Haymarket Media Group in 2013 in memory of the political journalist and commentator who died in 2010 and was a friend of Haymarket founder Lord Heseltine.
