Seize the day and don’t let your writing gather dust, says Lynne Hackles
Many years ago I met a lady who had been in the Land Army during WWII. She would read her stories out at our writing group. They should have had a wider audience but Joan never sent out her work. She didn’t think it was good enough or even interesting. I threatened to break into her house, steal her work and send it off on her behalf. Of course, I didn’t. The sad thing is Joan died without ever seeing a word of her work in print and now those stories are lost forever.
