To celebrate the bicentenary of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s visionary poem Kubla Khan, the Friends of Coleridge are running the Imaginary Worlds Poetry Competition.
There are two categories: adult and young persons (10-17). The prizes in the adult category are £500 for the winner and £200 each for two runners up. In the young persons category, the prizes are £75 for the winner and £25 for two runners up. The winning poems will be published in The Coleridge Bulletin.
To enter, send original, unpublished poems no longer than forty lines with the theme ‘imagined worlds’. Poets may enter up to three poems. All poems must be entered through the online submission system. The poet’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Poets must chose a pseudonym and include it at the head of each poem entry.
