To keep your pony warm this winter, you’ll need to get him the right size blanket. To measure your horse accurately, stand him squarely on level ground. Have a barn buddy help you by holding the horse.
♦ Using a cloth tape measure, start at the center of his chest (A). Have your friend hold this end.
♦ Run the tape over the widest part of his shoulders and hindquarters, and read the number where the tail meets the “cheek” (B).
