‘I’m lucky that I can make money from home doing what I love’
Anne-Marit learnt to turn a profit from her love of baking
It’s been a long time since Anne - Marit Kvarstein Taylor has lived in her native Norway but she’s never given up on the traditions she learned while growing up. One of them is baking and she has recently turned bread-making into a successful home-based business. ‘Being a stay-at-home mum, I always baked for my three children but it was only after I got divorced that I started wondering how I could earn money from something I loved doing,’ she explains. Always keen to take up a new challenge, Anne-Marit taught herself how to make sourdough bread and, once she’d installed a professional style bread oven, set up a micro bakery in her own kitchen, selling to friends and neighbours.
