Independent clothing and homeware retailer, Chums, has polled over-fifties to find out what technology, back in the 60s, they were expecting to see become commonplace in 2015. The study found that many people expected flavoured pills to replace food, and robotic domestic servants and self-driving cars to be commonplace. Although we are seeing gadgets such as robotic vacuums and prototypes of autonomous vehicles, technology has not advanced quite as much as some expected, and we’re still a few years away from many of these futuristic ideas.
