Old Gaffers splice the mainbrace in Wee Toon

THE OLD Gaffers Association is not a group of former business bosses but an elite sailing club dedicated to traditional yachts.

A fleet of the boats recently sailed into Campbeltown Loch and crews experienced a weekend of fun, friendship, and hospitality at the town’s sailing club.

This year’s event saw a revival of scenes from a few years ago with boats arriving from other parts of the Clyde, including Bute, and Tarbert, plus three from Northern Ireland and a couple from Wales.
