A worker in the former Jaeger factory some time before 2001 when it pulled out of Campbeltown. Can anyone identify this young tailor?
EARLIER this year (2001) the Courier reported on knitwear firm Jaeger’s demise and the loss of 209 jobs.
It is in administration but still has shops trading across Scotland. It has been reported that unsecured creditors, led by César Araújo of the Portuguese clothing manufacturer Calvelex, apparently owed millions, are persuing its former owner Better Capital, run by Guernsey based Jon Moulton.
