On your front page report, you state that Burcote Wind had a memorandum of understanding with CS Wind, the implication being that because of that, their proposal should have been approved rather than the RES one. Local opinion is that neither of these proposals is suitable for a scenic lowland glen like Barr Glen. Both were strongly opposed by local residents, but, as usual, the Scottish government ministers paid no heed to their opinions.
In granting permission for Blary Hill, they chose the less obtrusive one, which is how the decision should be reached, with no heed being paid to memorandums of understanding. Just because we have a wind tower manufacturer in Kintyre, it does not mean they have to be erected on the peninsula.
