Tyre tossers wanted at Southend Highland Games

Heavyweight sponsors have thrown their muscle behind Southend’s annual highland games.

And there is still plenty of space, in the field, for trade or craft stalls at the event, which in the past has attracted up to 1500 competitors and spectators combined.

Games secretary John Galbraith said: ‘We are very pleased to have the highland dancing competition back this year with all the traditional classes. After being a demonstration highland dancing event last year.
