THE KINTYRE committee of Cancer Research UK called on the services of a twoyear- old to pick winners at its grand raffle.
Wee Finlay McAlinden, from Stonehaven, who was visiting his granny, was allowed to pick the first ticket last Saturday, but seemed more interested in the paper’s folds than the details of the winner.
One group of friends were disappointed not to win on the raffle but took home consolation prizes from the bottle stall. Judy Skilbeck won some moisturising cream, her friend Fiona Mason collected apple juice but her mum Sheena Mac- Donald eclipsed the pair with a bottle of whisky.
