PEOPLE queued in the drizzle to get into Carradale Guild’s annual summer fair, which was held in the village hall.
Inside was a range of traditional coffee evening treats, including a raffe, a tombola, guess the number of sweets in the jar, guess the weight of the cake, a treasure hunt, a bottle stall, a plant sale, a bric-a-brac table, and a baking stall that was so crowded the Courier’s reporter couldn’t even get a look!
The event was opened by guest of honour Marilyn Shedden, who was introduced on stage by Guild member Una Semple, who said: ‘To my knowledge, Marilyn was the first lady moderator of the presbytery of Argyll, and she has done a lot of work in that capacity.’
