Highland spirit is strong in Campbeltown

A DULL and drizzly day failed to dampen the spirits of the many hardy competitors in Campbeltown’s first Highland games in around 20 years.

Kintyre Schools Pipe Band marched round the track to officially open the event, which was supposed to take place last year but was cancelled due to high winds and torrential rain, before the games kicked off.
