Visitor John Florence at the site in 1971. In later life he was remembered as a ‘bit of a character who was always cracking jokes’. His daughter, Evelyn Scott, still has a van at the site and said he loved the farm produce.
A KINTYRE caravan site which opened its awnings in 1966 has celebrated its golden jubilee.
To mark the occasion, Killegruer Caravan Site owner, Anne Littleson the daughter of the founder Neil Littleson, organised fireworks, a huge campfire on the foreshore as the sun set over Jura and an afternoon party the following day at Glenbarr.
