A83 Strone Point works to start


WORK is due to start on a deadly A83 bend where lives have been lost.

Argyll First councillor Donald Kelly fought for the route, between Campbeltown and Tarbet, to become a trunk road and through the A83 taskforce has pressed for improvements.

On Monday, Bear Scotland will start the long overdue, 28- week £1.1 million project, to reduce the radius of the tight corner at Strone Point, north of Inveraray.
