Kilkenzie: Treat for school children ON SATURDAY last, the children of Kilkenzie school were entertained by Miss Hall of Tangy, the treat taking the form of a visit to the Campbeltown Picture House. At midday, the children assembled at the school, where they were given a substantial tea. Then they were driven to the Picture House where seats had been reserved for them in the balcony.
The programme presented was enjoyed by all there, especially by the children unaccustomed to this form of entertainment. While in the Picture House, each one received a bag of sweets, and before starting on the homeward journey the children enjoyed a second tea.
All went home in the best of spirits very happy after the day’s entertainment, and on their arrival at Kilkenzie, the hearty cheers with which the young folks responded, when a vote of thanks to Miss Hall was asked for, showed how fully they appreciate the great kindness which Miss Hall so often shows to them.
