Emergency services hold Texas scramble

KINTYR emergency services personnel stepped out of uniform and onto Dunaverty’s golf course.

No one needed rescuing as the weather stayed calm for the most part with only the last couple of teams feeling the brunt of the rain as 30 golfers from the police, RNLI, Coastguard, Highlands and Islands fire service and the ambulance service played a Texas scramble in mixed teams last Sunday.

Sponsorship from the Scottish Co-op, Tesco in Campbeltown, Springbank Distillery, Mach Dunes Golf Club and Glen Scotia in the form of prizes added to the day and helped make the event a great success.
