KINTYRE must be benefiting from all the walkers tramping its shores to raise money or pick litter.
They will be buying plenty of food to keep them going and, as evidenced during a meeting with litter picker Wayne Dixon and super RNLI fundraiser Alex Ellis-Roswell, they are not averse to a few beers.
Alex reached the peninsula more than two years after leaving his English home. He has taken about 8,000 photographs during his epic endeavour and raised a staggering £25,000 for lifeboats. At least half that total comes from an RNLI bucket permanently strapped to his rucksack.
