Memories of Jaeger excellence

Letters extra:

It was with sad disappointment that I read ‘Knitwear firm Jaeger folds’ in the Courier last Friday.

In particular, I disliked the comment by by George McMillan that he was ‘quite pleased the company had failed’ because it had closed the Campbeltown factory and devastated the town.

The current owners of Jaeger are not the same as when the factory was closed in Campbeltown.

Many employees gave the brand lifetimes of service and its closure is not their fault.
