Jimmy Graham and his cart have been a part of the Campbeltown street scene for years and he will be missed by all his friends.
ONE of the Wee Toon’s heroes retired, aged 70, on Friday. Jimmy Graham has been keeping the town rubbish free for decades. He says he is not quite sure himself when he started working for ‘the council’.
But he does know that it was long before the days of Argyll and Bute Council, Argyll and Bute District Council and Srathclyde Regional Council. He goes right back to the days of the town council, when there was a depot near Barochan right in the middle of town.
