Parade pulled and Doon the Green gone

HIGH winds forced the MOK Fest committee to cancel the Carni West parade and outdoor stage Doon the Green.

But those who didn’t get the message the event had been cancelled showed true Campbeltown spirit and came out anyway.

‘Delight’

Those who saw the float and parade stalwarts said it was a ‘delight’ to see them.

But after most of the hospital medics’ float ended up in Campbeltown Loch, they agreed the organisers had made the correct decision.
