Licence to shoot greylag geese

ACCORDING to the NFU Scotland (NFUS), there have been more and more reports of geese, particularly resident greylag geese, causing damage to crops throughout Argyll and the Islands.

Following the NFUS’s successful campaign, greylag geese are now included on the general licence for July and August only, meaning an individual licence is not required if you need to shoot resident greylag geese during these two months to prevent serious agricultural damage.
