Pupils make Westport’s sand sparkle

INFORMATION gathered by a group of Kintyre primary school pupils will contribute to a national survey on marine litter.

P4-7s from Drumlemble Primary School visited Machrihanish beach on a blustery day in September with Andrea McShannon from the GRAB Trust, for a beach clean as part of the Beaches and Marine Litter project.

The children wanted to do something to help their community and thought it was important to look after Kintyre’s beautiful beaches.
