Remembering Machrihanish’s coal mine 50 years on

THERE will be much to dig up this spring, in particular, an exhibition on South Kintyre’s mining heritage.

South Kintyre Development Trust (SKDT) has sponsored the Road to Drumleman community exhibition which will be held in the newly refurbished Kiln Room at Glen Scotia distillery on April 22 and will be open to the public.

It will include work by local children, a digital presentation of collected images and a series of drawings by lead artist Jan Nimmo, portraying many of the Argyll Colliery workers.
