FAMILIES in desperate need of four-bedroom accommodation in Tarbert will be relieved to hear that it may one day be a reality.
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) is in the process of carrying out feasibility work on a four-unit development, and subject to funding and statutory approvals being obtained, Oakhill phase two could soon be under construction.
Following an ACHA update, at the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands area committee meeting, on Wednesday, in Campbeltown, Councillor Anne Horn, who has campaigned for more housing in Tarbert for years, said: ‘I’m absolutely delighted, not only for me but for the families who need it.’
