Canadian Yachting  |  June 2021
Yippee!
Summer is starting and so is boating season across Canada. The June issue of Canadian Yachting magazine is coming your way with a great variety of stories to inform and entertain.
Our cover story is about the new X-Shore Eelex 8000. Electric boating is big news and the X-Shore Eelex 8000 is a viable alternative to an internal combustion engine boat that does not require compromises in performance and range. You will find some very fresh thinking in this profile.
A feature story in the June Canadian Yachting is Sarah Douglas: A Roller Coaster ride to Tokyo.
As all the members of the Canadian Sailing Team get ready to compete in the Olympics in Tokyo, COVID-19 continues to be an unprecedented challenge. Yet, this February, Sarah Douglas, Canadian Olympic Team member in the Laser Radial class, won the Laser East Midwinters in Key Biscayne Florida. In the fleet of 89 boats, Sarah scored four bullets and her drop was a 4. Will Sarah or other Canadian Sailing Team members bring home a medal?
Destination stories are always popular, especially in a time when we can only dream of travel. Enjoy Marianne Scott’s Destination Victoria, BC’s Capital City with great visuals and intriguing historic information.
A very special Feature is a detailed tour of a classic yacht. Author Denise Miller met with Dave and Barb Gamblin in New Brunswick to detail their 1967 Trojan 42 Flybridge Motor Yacht. Read her story VIA-MARA – “Wood” You Look at That…..
Also in the June issue, Zuzana Prochazka reviews the new swift and elegant new Dufour 530 and we visit Queen’s Cove Marina to discuss how regular boat maintenance pays dividends.
All this and more in the June 2021 issue of Canadian Yachting magazine!
