IN THE OCTOBER 2015 CANADIAN YACHTING – “Waypoints Winter Cruising” is the theme and the timing is perfect for you to plan and book that “bucket list” Caribbean charter cruise for 2016!

Life-long International cruising couple Sheryl and Paul Shard lead off with their story of how they first learned to cruise. Their article focuses on Grenada as a very good place to start cruising and they offer lots of valuable suggestions based on their years of experience.

The Shards are the stars of the Distant Shores TV show and are originally from Ontario.

Travel Editor Elizabeth Kerr takes you to the delightful and relaxed destination of Nevis. Then, Galley Guy Greg Nicoll recounts his experience chartering from The Moorings out of Abaco. With his group of sailors, Greg tries out a Moorings 514 Power Cat and discovers a world of space, comfort and convenience.

New writer Linda Leitch tells a harrowing but happy story about getting lost on Murchison Island in B.C. Next, Robin Ball reviews the magnificent Dufour 500 and Katherine Stone takes us on a literary visit to the Bedford Basin Yacht Club.

All this and more in the October 2015 Canadian Yachting magazine!
